KEK AT ACADEMIC CITY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE INAUGURATION
KEK was honoured to receive an invitation to the inauguration ceremony of Academic City University College (ACUC) held on Wednesday, the 17th of August in Accra. Our presence was requested because of the wonderful broker-client relationship we have with this distinguished university. ACUC speaks highly of our service to them as their brokers.
This magnificent ceremony saw many grandees in attendance which included the founder and chairman of the University Mr Dev Varyani, Global Peace Ambassador Gurudev Sri Sri Shankar, the current president of the University Professor Fred McBagonluri, Greater Accra traditional Council leaders, and many more.
A particular noteworthy presence at the event was the Vice president of Ghana, His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Established four years ago, the ACUC has a mission ‘to be a world-class centre for learning, innovation and entrepreneurship that nurtures future leaders’, and a mission ‘to educate future-ready leaders who can innovatively solve complex problems within an ethical, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.’
In his riveting speech delivered at the event, the Vice President alluded to these mission and vision statements, noting that, in many ways, the University’s agenda was perfectly in line the national agenda for the growth of the human resource capital. He commended the University for being on the right path to raising a crop of forward-thinkers who will breed unconventional/digital solutions to the afflictions of our society. He thus urged the University to keep up the good work.
Professor McBagonluri corroborated this in his speech, stating that the inauguration marked the beginning of a new journey for the institution towards the churning out of great leaders for our society.
Our Managing Director, Mr Shaibu Ali delegated a team to be present at this event on his behalf. This team was made up of Mrs Phoebe Quansah (Head of Corporate department), Mr Derrick Andoh (Head of Sales), Mr. Bernard Kisiton Larbi (Head of Internal Audit), Mr. Frank Obuobi (Sales), and Mr. Joseph Oduro Ofori (Client Service and Marketing).
