KEK Donates to Korle Bu Child Oncology Unit

As part of activities marking its 35th Anniversary, KEK Insurance Brokers has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating GHS 40,000 in cash and GHS 10,000 worth of educational supplies to the Korle Bu Child Oncology Unit. This contribution was made through Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Ghana (LCCG), a renowned NGO dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer.
The donation was made on 5th June 2025 during a visit by KEK’s Managing Director, Mr. Shaibu Ali, accompanied by members of the Executive Committee and staff. The team engaged with young patients and toured the facility, including a 40-bed complex currently under construction to enhance pediatric oncology care at the hospital.
This gesture reflects the enduring philanthropic legacy of Mr. Kwesi Essel-Koomson, KEK’s late founder, whose vision continues to inspire the company’s dedication to supporting vulnerable groups in society.
As a proud signatory of the UN Global Compact, KEK encourages stakeholders, corporate entities, and individuals to join in supporting the completion of this vital facility and contribute to improving care and outcomes for children battling cancer in Ghana.
